Two Factor Authentication(2FA)

If you do not have a Ledger, we highly recommend enabling Two Factor Authentication. Please keep in mind that if you have 2FA enabled, you will not see the Ledger section available on your Account.

Two Factor Authentication in the NEAR Wallet deploys a multi-signature contract to your account and requires all transactions to be confirmed by a second device.

We currently offer Email based Two Factor Authentication. 

Note: If you set up Ledger, you will not see the 2FA screen. 

After choosing the method, you will receive a message on your phone or email, depending on which method you have chosen.

Attention! 4 NEAR Tokens will be locked in your account for storage and wallet maintenance. Tokens get unlocked once 2FA is disabled.
